About ChartForma
From Market Experience to Art
For more than 30 years, I have worked with technical trading and followed financial markets through many different market cycles — watching markets rise, fall, accelerate, reverse and change character.
Over the years, I have traded and studied a wide range of market instruments, including equities, commodities, indices, metals, options and futures. This experience has given me a broad perspective on how markets behave and how patterns can emerge across different instruments and timeframes.
I have always been fascinated by the visual language of the market.
To gain a faster understanding of market behaviour, I developed ways of visually organising charts and patterns — looking at current movements while comparing them with earlier periods. Markets often repeat certain behaviours, and these recurring structures became increasingly interesting to me as visual forms in their own right.
I became particularly fascinated by sudden volatility, powerful movements and changes in trend — from rapid short-term events to long-term market cycles. Using different analytical and signal-based approaches, I have worked with both longer-term positions and shorter-term swing trading.
Over time, something changed.
I began to see the charts not only as tools for analysing markets, but as visual expressions of the markets themselves.
The patterns created by price movement, volatility, rhythm and time began to fascinate me in their own right. What started as a way of understanding markets gradually developed into a way of creating art.
ChartForma is the result of that journey.
Each work begins with real market data. Through artistic selection, visual interpretation and transformation, market movement becomes form, colour, rhythm and texture.
Behind every form is a market.
Behind every movement is a story.
THE MARKET AS A SOURCE OF FORM
Financial markets are constantly in motion.
Prices rise and fall. Trends develop, accelerate and reverse. Periods of calm can suddenly give way to extraordinary volatility. Across different markets and timeframes, these movements create structures, rhythms and patterns that are constantly changing.
For me, these patterns gradually became more than analytical information.
The chart became a visual landscape.
By studying market movements over different timeframes, recurring structures and sudden changes in behaviour became visible. What may appear as simple price data can, when transformed visually, reveal an unexpected sense of rhythm, balance, tension and movement.
ChartForma explores this relationship between data and visual expression.
The underlying market remains real. The movement is real. The time period is real.
What changes is the way it is perceived.
Through artistic interpretation, market movements are transformed into colour, form, texture and rhythm — creating works that stand on their own as abstract art while retaining a connection to the financial market that generated them.
The market provides the movement.
Time provides the rhythm.
Art gives it form.
